A while back I ran across an artist with a storefront with promo items of their work and it sparked a thought. So...I decided that Eppy's Creations needed one as well. I give out loads of promo items at events and to those I directly sale books to but to those who are far off...well, there is now a place to buy some of the cool stuff. Right now there is only one design (a Fragments of the Key' shirt) - if I had not fallen asleep while working on the store front there would be more but hey, I have narcoleptic tendencies where I just NEED to close my eyes. I don't get a great big lump of profit from the sale so don't think the pricing is my idea and I'm not certain yet of the quality so if you do buy a shirt or an item I would be forever grateful to know what your thoughts were. If the quality is bad then I plan to complain and close shop but if it is good then I will recommend them to other of my kin. Ok, I feel as if I am rambling-I'm exhausted and sick so that could be the reason. Alright to end your sufferring and get me closer to starting on my housework-here is the link:
http://www.zazzle.com/eppys_creations I plan to have merchandise for all of my books and some 'coming soon'.
I've thoughts to have some 'sample' chapters of Fragments made up to handout at various events and possibly to send out via mail. I'm still working on that-I was also considering some 'downloadable free chapters' so keep checking back.
I like to donate free copies of my books to libraries-I love the thought of my books being available to everyone and I know that not everyone has money to spend on books so if you know of a library, and PLEASE check w/them first, that would accept free books from a self published author (now make certain that understand I am self published-some don't like the idea of self publishers or you have to jump through hoops to be accepted) then contact me w/the name of a point of contact from that library so that I can contact them. So far I have books in a library (my hometown) in Hendersonville, TN and at ECU in North Carolina (my illustrators college). I've also given out books to a youth restorative program in New Orleans and the local elementary school my son attends has a copy of all of my picture books.
